Fall Out Boy was formed in 2000 including Andy Hurley, drummer and Joe Trohman, guitarist, who
had been in many hardcore Chicago bands. Also in the band is Patrick Stump, vocals and guirarist, and Pete Wentz, bass guitarist.
They had released a self-released demo in 2001, following it up in May of 2002 with a split LP on Uprising which also
featured Project Rocket. In January they came back with the mini-LP Fall Out Boy's Evening Out With Your Girl.
Eventually, they signed a record deal with Fueled By Ramen and recieved an advance with Island Records to give them a proper
debut, of which they refused. From Under The Cork Tree game in 2005 and got on the Top Ten of Billboard's album charts.
